The 'Pick Your Own' signs are out at our local farms, which means it's officially the Great British Strawberry season.

Sun warmed and juicy, there's nothing better than plucking your own strawberries straight from the ground. And maybe shoving a few in your face before they make it to the punnet. It's one of the true joys of summer.

To celebrate, here's some of our favourite BBC Good Food recipes, or simply dollop with a tablespoon of cream and tuck in!

We're particularly taken with the cakes in the shape of teacups and teapots. What could possibly be better?

Sushi Sweets

What is it about sweets that we never grow out of? Whether it's cake or candies, even the most sophisticated palette never matures past a tonsil-tickling desire to tuck into a bag of Haribo.

And sweets are big business at weddings, too. Old school Pick n' Mix tables, sweetie party favours and cookie bars - more and more couples are finding new ways to make dessert an adventure.

That's why we're loving these sushi sweets. Yes, on first glance they look like the nation's favourite Japanese dish, but on closer inspection you'll notice that these little nibbles are actually cupcakes topped with coconut and jelly sweets. A super cute pudding appetiser to hand around, and one that you can whip up yourself, using this recipe.

Bariuma!

A Weekend Treat

TGIF!

Yup, it's nearly the weekend and with the sun making its first appearance in a small eternity, we're in the mood for a spot of baking.

We're loving this recipe from 'I Quit Sugar', a rubbish-free replica of those beloved peanut butter cups. Drool.

Why not whip up a batch, consume with a cuppa and cheer on the arrival of spring.
